Initial days in Bangalore were hell, as this was the first time I am out of my home town and parents. So, when ever there a stretch of holidays, I thought of going home. But, the lovely friends and the work style kept me moving. Definitely I wouldn’t have felt Coimbatore as the best city; I wouldn’t have felt the water there as the tastiest, I wouldnt have felt the importance of my home, if I wouldnt have come to B’lore. Its all wonderful experience added to enlighten my mind and soul. There is a touching dialogue in Virumandi like “Santhosangrathu ennanu atha anubavikkumpothu manusanuku theriyarathu illa, athu illam pokum pothuthaan…” says Kamal in the movie, which resembles my situation then. One should have the wisdom of realizing the value of everything he has before loosing it. Hmm.. but the feel you have after loosing is different and you should feel that too. I think I am so philosophical and I never wanted to happen that in this blog, as it was started for fun. Slowly I got stuck to the routine and this life.

Now, I thought of changing the pattern completely with a different mood like Osho says. I don’t know where I will stand after a couple of years, but then interested in change the pattern. I would like to quote a few lines from Osho…

Just see! If you can watch just for a few days, you will see a pattern emerging, a wheel pattern. One day, a fine morning, you are feeling so good and so happy, and another day you are so dull, so dead that you start thinking of committing suicide. And just the other day you were so full of life, so blissful that you were feeling thankful to God, that you were in a mood of deep gratefulness, and today there is great complaint and you don’t see the point why one should go on living…. And it goes on and on, but you don’t see the pattern. Once you see the pattern, you can get out of it.

You have to have courage to change when change is needed, the courage to stand up for our own truth, even against the opinions of others, and the courage to embrace the unknown in spite of our fears-in our relationships, in our careers, or in the ongoing journey of understanding who we are and why we are here.

I could see the blood coming out of your ears… Hmm I don’t know I couldn’t control my emotions and you are the victims of that. You could not get out of this.

Probably I’ll close this post with the cricket match we played last week. Our organizer Mr. Ganesan was the head for all the activities when it comes to cricket. He wakes up early in the morning, calls everyone, starts his car, and comes to office and try to make sure that everyone is on the ground on time, which never happened in the history. He shouts at everyone for not being on time and they don’t come for the next time and he continue shouting at them. I don’t know why he does for all the time.

In the middle…

Two captains, Ganesan and Anukool there on the middle to select teams. I don’t know why they are the captains there all the time. They just nominate themselves as captains and do a less descent job, sometimes a descent too. They usually select teams by hitting other’s hand saying a players name loudly. Then that player has to go and stand in the captain’s side, otherwise they stop selecting teams and shout at them. Another thing is that we should not practice by bat or ball when they select teams. All those will be handed over to them and we have to look at them hitting hands with a curious face of getting into the team. I am usually selected last but one and would be pride to have not in the last. How the silly mind goes for silly things in the morning. The team was selected and I am into Anukool’s team. It doesn’t make much difference for me getting into anyone’s team, as they hardly or never take my views.

All those actions happened in ITI ground, with more than 6 matches played between twelve teams at one shot across the ground. Usually fielders would stand on the other team’s pitch, which would not irritate them as they would have set their field on our pitch. You know we have a better mutual understanding and at sometimes they act as umpires for us and vice versa. They would field for us if we shout ..yeh ball ball.

Anukool won the toss and elected to bat. I’ve never seen a bowling after winning a toss. To everyone’s surprise I was sent to open the innings. You know the fact, Anukool wants to give chances to everyone and luckily I got a chance on that day. Keeping my scores aside, everyone got out after 6^th over, Still 6 overs left and Anukool has to bat now. Anukool says that he is a zone player and got trained from Robin Sing as well. He scores some final runs and we hit 25 runs on the board. Then, calls the drinks break. Ganesan sir usually get some pepsi and varki to keep us active. Anukool was blasting Senthil for dropping continuously some 4 catches where a small kid would have done those. Senthil is nice person who is famously called as “Mr. stomach”, appeals that he has taken a brilliant catch. But, actually what happened was, he was even blasted by other match players as he took their catch, watching all the way a different team, playing for them and got scolding from them too.

Second innings started, I preferred Ajay’s place to field as he did not get any balls in the first innings and the sun was on the same side to get rid of direct sunlight. Also, I could have a better view of watching a different match out in the next pitch, which was a bit interesting to watch when compared to us. Unfortunately, I got a couple of catches and all dropped, irrespective of my brilliant efforts. Later, I was supposed to change my fielding position. At last we won the match with a nice margin.

These matches are really interesting to blog, as they have a lot of fun stuffs all the time. Look forward for your valuable comments. As a matter of fact, I am writing this post because of the encouragement from Manoj last week and I would like to have more. I won’t get a mood to write anything without your feedback. Please do.

At that time, we discussed about some incidents with Dogs. Suddenly Anukool told me that cattle (cow, buffalo, bulls, bullocks, etc.) are also dangerous. I also accepted his view and informed him that since dogs are comparatively small at least we can manage them but we can not do any thing with cattle. Anukool was OK with the statement and told luckily god created them as vegetarian. We laughed like any thing (No dogs were there in the vicinity) and had a cool moment. Latter I thought, God created Anukool also as vegetarian (J).

I would like to share an incident here which is related to the subject. Dr. Sharma is a popular veterinarian in Assam. Whenever there is damage by wild musth elephant in any human habitat or any health issue for elephants, the first person of contact by the Forest Department (Assam) is Dr. Sharma. He is an expert in tranquilization. He has done many studies both on captive and wild elephants. He has published numerous research papers both in national and international journals and written handful of books on Elephants. He has mentioned an incident of a captive elephant eating a baby of a mahout in one of his book entitled “Musth”. God created elephants also as vegetarian!!!!!!!! Anukool????????!!!!!

I guess you all remember the blood donation camp, the company organized a while ago. Many people from GF took part and made it a grand success.

It was the first time I donated blood and that too for the company. Suresh, Gopi, Sathish, Koshy and I planned to donate blood at the same time and it was schedule at 3 pm. We had two juices each and reached the camp all the way talking about the blood donotion, blood group, the advantages, health and all the stories related blood donation. I still remember the welcome words from Venky with a pride saying “that’s the spirit guys” with his usual loud voice. I was panic then with his dominant voice, but soon realized that it was to welcome and cheer us up. Formalities were over and we were sent to middle for the action. All the nervousness turned to a complete comedy session with Sathish, Anukool, Shinu and Gopi. The doctors there called us one by one.

Sathish was the first person to shout, bossss thalayellam suthuthuuuu… and shaking his whole body..(we used to say salambarathu in our local language).. after they took a few millilitres of blood from his body. Probably, it should be a few drops equal to our normal donation to mosquitos everyday. A person with a long white coat, doesn’t seems to be a doctor at all, came closer to him with a strange look and lifted Sathish’s legs. I think it is to move some of his blood to his head to get the conscious back. Now, Sathish is looking exactly like a Vavaal climbing in a tree upside down. Syringe was released; he got a little conscious, sent to a seat with a mango juice and some biscuits. Poor Sathish is now happy with those silly mango juice and biscuits.

Shinu, our next performer came with a heroic look, shouting singam-da singam.. rentham cudukka pokuthu.. by stretching his mucles and raising both his hands up showing the biceps(virtual) and got into action. He had not stopped his suruthi.. still saying.. singam ennakku retham kudukkum, naan singathuku retham kodupean… ithellam enakku saatharanam appa.. slighly pushing Anukool to his left, thalra dae.. who was standing on his way to the action. This singam came forward to give his blood to human beings. Next comes our Singam’s real action. As soon as they took a few drops, which should be lesser than they took to Sathish, Shinu(Shingam) started shouting… ahhhh ahhh…. please stop this…can someone rescue me from this… I couldn’t see anything.. water.. water.. all came around and brought him to conscious in a same vavaal fashion… The funnies part is, he was looking like vavaal even before lifting his legs… If you would had been there, I am sure that you would have definitely enjoyed this session.

Then, our singam was ordered to lie down on a bed by one of a seniour doctor amma. Singam is in setha state now. Anukool, the person who was totally rejected by all the doctors there for blood donation, after testing his steel body, was making fun on others. He was continously teasing everyone for their action they did while giving blood. Our singam, I, Sathish and all were laughing without control. The camp was not at all like a blood donation camp. It was like a hall with people watching leoni’s patti mandram. There came our seniour doctor amma, shouted at our singam again with a starring look. Our singam’s face is like a poonai on the wall now. I am sure that if he would have replied something there, it would had sound exactly like meow meow.. thank god he hadnt done anything funny.. Doctor amma looks like a tigress now.

Then, came the funniest unforgettable conversation with Gopi(our bosssssss) and a stranger came in to donate blood. Stranger has a strong shoulders, well built body, over 6ft height and energetic action. Gopi and that stranger were asked to lie down next to next. The doctor started with Gopi and injected a syringe to take blood and the stranger was watching everything. There started their conversation…

Gopi: Looking at the doctor.. boss this is the first time I am giving blood… (to my experience, no one will call a doctor as “boss”).. please don’t take too much.. I haven’t slept well.. I had only ten idlies in the morning( usually after he had his breakfast, the list he says to Thangamani in the mess would look like a “thaayam count”, like saguni, a game you would have heard in Mahabaratha… like eerrau, pannadu, eeranjju.. all these are his count of the items he had.. he is the biggest contributor to the bottom line of Thangamani mess) , which is negligibly small for him… I am little afraid and so on…

Stranger: dae thambi..

Gopi: light-a pampeettu… illing na..

Stranger: en bayapadrae… naan than irukenle… naan ellam evalavu thadave blood cuduthiruken theriyumaaa…. Enna paathiya .. evlavu stronga irukaen… naan ethavuthu solrena…

Gopi: boosss.. illa boss.. itha first time… athaann.. konjam bayama irukku…

Stranger: Youuv( with a loud voice this time)… athaan solrenla.. summa padu… , as if he is conducting the blood camp himself and controlling everything there…

Gopi: dead silent this time.. no words… pampisthaanu…

Stranger: hmm

Now, Gopi could see the blood going through the tubes. It filled the plastic pouch kept on the ground. he is trying to keep his sight away from the stranger for the long time… he doesn’t want to see his left at all.. And the doctor started pinching a syringe on the stranger to take the blood…. There was a complete silence for a couple of seconds before the stranger started shouting…

Stranger: ahhh… ahh…. Ayyo…Can someone help me… !! I couldn’t see anything..!!

All the doctors surrounded and our Gopi couldn’t control his laugh…so as others..

There ends the unforgettable blood donation comedy session..

Jokes apart, it was a good feel after we gave blood with a team, which could be useful for someone at least in the future. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. Be a blood and organ donor. All it costs is a little love.

News in Detail….

Karol is one of a stylish dudes at GF. He is very famous for his rocking getups, hairstyles, morphing designs, smiles.. what to say and what to leave.. He is referred as FRE at GF. You all should be knowing what is FRE’s primary responsibilities and duties… For those who do not know, do a small research within GF.

Karol was freindly with a dog which resides in Pai Layout.  He used to play with it daily…. Sometimes he used to hit the dog casually with his legs…. That created anger in the dog…. Adding fuel to the fire… he bought two biscuit packets Good Day and Tiger Biscuit ….. He ate the Good day and gave the Tiger Biscuit to the Dog… That created little bit more anger… So the dog waited for its oppurtunity…. One day Karol hit the girl friend of the dog unknowingly by his leg that also created some added anger…. Then came the Operation Cuccoon…. The Dog…. with some of his friends in Pai Layout rounded up Karol while he left his shift…. and attacked Karol… Karol tried to escape as he usually escapes from Birthday Bums…. but all his efforts proved in Vain… He was bit by the dog after 3 kms of Violent chase…. what a bite….. Then came the real climax …. he went to the doctor…. and the doctor gave a pregnancy tablet…. to Karol…. (What happened really asks Anukool….).

Hmm. We have a theatre named pushpaanjali, where the new tamil films will be released. Though, the theatre’s location and the environment is not good, the tickets are less expensive and we would’nt want to go long to watch a film on the multiplexes and inoxes. Now, the speaker systems are much improvized and its a reasonable underdeveloped theatre to watch new releases. Yesterday, I went for “Vaaranam aayiram” with Raja and Gopi(our famous IT support chap, who is very famous for his weird expression with his hands open wide down, with his legs bend and shakky head while saying.. “bossssssss”). San, karol and other GF guys joined with us in the evening. It is a very nice decent movie. Sameera Reddy was flashing my mind with all the activities i did today with her cute hairstyle and her killing smile. ohh god… should forget her soon to get my normal pulse… I will write a separate review about the film and special one for Sameera later.

About the people at Pai layout… first main road is full of above middle class people, mostly in flats, and they have their own style of living. Most of our PGs are in that. 70% of the people speak tamil I guess.

Apart from these, we have more than 6 supermarkets, bakeries, mechanic shops, hospital, hotels, small playing grounds and a lot of dogs in all the streets. Once I was caught up with around 15 dogs for about 45 min. They rounded me at around 4 ‘O clock in the morning while going to Coimbatore one fine day, teased me for 45 min, had fun and did whatever they want. I was cornered. (Like Vadivelu used to tell oru mani neeram vechu adichanuga…i was cornered by those street villians). Fortunately after sometimes they lost the mood to tease me and left with a pride.

Then, we have a nice reasonable roads all around, well managed street lights and a good sewage system. All together, making pai layout a good place to live peacefully.
